I had an off day from work today, so I had stayed home to bake some cookies to take to Shane and the boys at work. Lucy was coming with me as well, she was always excited to see her father on the job. She was wearing her pretty sunflower dress that Lori had given her recently for her birthday, a straw hat, and white, buckled sandals. "Mama I'm ready, let's go!" She commanded, walking through to the kitchen and pulling on the hem of my own floral dress. I could see the amount of elation in her eyes. I was inside, helping Carol cook when I heard a shrill scream come from outside -- it sounded like Lucy. I took the beaten pot off of the stove and ran outside along with the others. There were walkers in the yard again and a few were hunched over on the ground, eating something. My throat dried up as I thought  of the worst thing possible. I held my breath and shot down the walkers that were occupied eating. When I stepped closer, I realized that they were eating Lucy. Rick was shouting for Glenn and Daryl to go find out where the walkers were coming from. I kicked the walkers out of the way and dropped to my knees., breathing erratically.
